Hi
R.D Simone I really really love your webpage! I am not fro the 60's, I was
actually born in 1979, but I wish I was from the 60's. God this Era i was born
into is so boring. I collect anything about the 60's (movies, clothes, posters,
albums, and ect) so I found your wbepage very helpful!! I came across a photo in
your webpage that is of Francine Brockey, and I thought that Francine was
actually Pamela Courson(Jim Morrison's long time girl friend) because they were
both tiny, slim, natural redheads. Then I read it was actually francine and not
Pam. Click here to see a few Pam pictures so that you can see what I Mean. http://www.geocities.com/miladyshady/jimandpam11.jpg

see how much Pamela and Francine look alike? anyway, did you ever meet pamela

The
site looks marvelous my dear! Simply marvelous! And to Remote User below on Skye
Saxon - Yes dear Skye has a unique brain pan now - and back then. He has always
encouraged young girls and regarding his musical ability? Well love we just
disagree that's all. I know he is getting long in the tooth so to speak - but
there simply isn't anything else like listening to the long version of "Up
In Her Room" or being reminded of Skye's contribution to the world of rock
with the tone and lyric of "Mr. Farmer." Skye may be different than
most - yet I must say that over the 30 some odd years since we first met he has
always been impecably gracious (ala Skye) when we have been together again.
Bless your sprits in the Skye ! Anonymouse For Now

Hi!
I happened upon this site by accident, I was looking for a picture of the Castle
Argyle! I used to live there, just before they turned it into a urban renewal
project! I can't remember the year, but I certainly remember being there during
the Simi earthquake! When the govt bought the building,we were all evicted, and
I heard that they carved those great apts up into smaller ones! What a shame!
Thanks for having the picture up, I can't wait to show my husband, I have always
talked about that place and all the interesting characters I met there, and all
the ghost stories that went along with it! Sammie

Even
though there is no remnant of that life-style left in me these days, I do
appreciate the reminiscing at your fun site. My name is Tom Funk, tenor sax and
singer in various groups of the sixties playing the gamut from Vegas to the
movies. I should mention, first of all, the 'bad boy' of the Sunset Strip, Troy
Walker, whom I played with up at the Prelude on the strip, sort of kitty-corner
from the old Carolina Pines restaurant. Joey Dee and the Starlighters were
playing in the more known club below us (can't remember) and after the gig we
would go accross to the Carolina Pns. and, a number of times, one of Joey Dee's
back-up male singers would walk up to our table behind someone and stick a
saliva-wet finger in that person's ear. There would be screaming incredulity and
mayhem which pleased the finger guy alot. Kim Fowler was a regular at our gigs
with various groups and would get on stage to our and the audience's delight and
do the 'Pelican dance,' of his own creation. During that time I played with the
road group of the Hollywood Argyles including, Dale Halcom, piano and guitar;
Rod Shcaefer, drums and voice, Elliot Ingber, Bass and guitar and Tom Funk, sax
and voice. We had one of the best gigs ever during that time at a club called,
the Dream Room in New Orleans, La. Various versions of this group played around
Hollywood at the Summit Club which was a jazz club that featured artists like
Ramsey Lewis, Cannonball Adderly, etc., and a house rock band during the breaks
to keep the balance which was us. We went on a great road trip throughout all of

redundant to you: Deceased: Carl Radle, Vito, Jesse Ed Davis, Carl Franzoni (I
think), all but two of the GTO's (Pamela and one other, I believe, are still
around). In Prison: Jim Gordon Still alive and kicking Elmer Valentine, who was
still promoting things as little as two years ago; there was an article about
him in GQ or Esquire or something like that. Keep up the good work! Tom Tuerff

Hi
Tom Kelly here from the Gemini Psychedelic Supermarket on Hollywood and Las
Palmas, and a worker/musicians personal manager from the Omnibus coffee house on
Cheunga and Franklin (circa 1966-70) we helped put on the LA Griffith Park Love-In's.
(Side note; If you ever attended an LA Be/Love-In with a bus as the backdrop of
the stage then you have been to one of our productions)I was speaking the other
night with Bill Champlian of the Son's of Champlain and we had the greatest time
together going through old war stories, lol. His was about Doug Weston's
Troubadore. Anyway I told him about the time that Mike Raven (owner of the
Omnibus told me to go up on top of the bus and bring down the person who had
climbed up there. The Moodies refused to play until he got down. So I went up
there and told him, "hey buddy get down so the band can start to
play". His reply to me was, "But I'm a monkey"! I told him that I
didn't care if he thought he was a giraffe get down off the bus"! Later
that day someone pointed out to me that infact he was Mickey Dolenz. If anyone
from here has been to a show at

Nooney Rickett I think the big fuss being made about you, is because in the
forty years that you have been recording and performing, you have made millions
of FANS out there, who isn't going to remember Nooney Rickett, you are like a
living Juke Box, you are a living legend of Rock & Roll, The movies, the
records, the TV shows and most of all the MUSIC. I heard "FOUR OF A
KIND" the CD, really Awesome, every one I play it for likes it alot, we
like every song, It pretty hard today to get a CD where you like every song. I
hope Nooney Rickett and "FOUR OF A KIND" become a household word in
the music business, You guys deserve it.

Hey,
all - I'm Tom Funk and it's been a few months since I visited your site and I
really cracked up seeing all the posts and reactions to Nooney Rickett since
that's the last thing we ever expected to see in the year 2002- some 35 years
later. Someone posted that I live in a commune. Well, that's pretty far from the
truth. Yes, I am a Baha'i which has a world wide community of close to 6,000,000
from every ethnic, social and spiritual background on the planet and all of my
three sons grew up to become Baha'is on their own volition. We live in Rancho
Mirage, Ca. near

I
SURVIVED and adapted...so many tagedies,suicides.o.d.'s what the hell happened?!
I was just a babe of 15 in 1966,hitching up and down Laurel Cyn,hangin' at the
Canyon Country Store, and sneaking into The Trip, or chowing down on chocolate
cream pie,and french fries with bleu cheese dressing at Ben Frank's. the whole
world was there and they would talk to you, take you to parties and rehearsals,
even occasionally buy you lunch. Ah,the accessibility of it all. My friend ,Gigi
and I sat for hours in Cafe Figaro, people watching. does anyone remembre the
Shindig rehearsals ? Wasn't the choreographer Andre Tayir? I remember meeting
alot of people there,Sonny and
